Gaiaccia

THE MIND.
Gaiaccia is made using Sangiovese and Merlot grapes from a single vineyard "Capaccio", which has calcareous-clayey stony soil frequently subjected to drought.  Therefore, the slow and gradual efforts of the plants to reach their natural equilibrium produces rich, concentrated grapes.  The Sangiovese and Merlot are subjected to 16 months in barriques, tonneaux and steel, with micro-oxygenation on fine lees, in order to provide hints of ripe fruits and jams which blend well with the delicate notes of the spices, deriving from the union with the oak. 

THE BODY. 

Gaiaccia's deep ruby red with purplish-mauvish reflections is particularly gratifying to the eye.  It has a lavish bouquet of ripe red berry fruits flowing into more evolved notes of bilberry jam, offering an exquisitely spicy conclusion reminiscent of juniper and vanilla with balsamic undertones.  A generous silky taste. Gaiaccia has a long finish with subtle touches of cherries and fruit preserved in alcohol mellowing into balsamic hints of wood.

Gaiaccia is the goddess of Land and Beauty.  It is the war and peace of a place which has ascended to heaven through its plants.  Gaiaccia is the double side of the Moon, it is the twin, the other, both different and the same.  Gaiaccia is the expression of Man's desire to understand the infinite.  Gaiaccia, the portrait of a woman as expressed by a man.  It is explosively unleashed from the darkened depths to find a degree of equilibrium, always impetuous.
